Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of socio-cultural contexts on the underdevelopment of the target community of the Relief Committee in the east of Hormozgan province. The method of the present study was quantitative and survey. The statistical population was all clients and individuals who received support services from the relief committee in the cities of Minab, Rudan, Jask, Sirik and Bashagard. The total number of people covered was 108,714, which according to Cochran's formula, 384 people were selected by simple random sampling. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. Data analysis method was regression with SPSS software. The results showed; Traditionalism has a positive effect on underdevelopment. Lack of a culture of risk-taking has a positive effect on underdevelopment. The institutionalization of the culture of dependence has a positive effect on underdevelopment. Chronic destiny has a positive effect on underdevelopment.
